Women-led governance is the permanent structure.
The work begins with the people closest to the need. One person can begin. A local Team of 7 forms through repeated useful work when real responsibilities and returning people make the team necessary.
Institutions can help employ people, contract, insure, capitalize, protect early work, and help it become stable. They are not supposed to become the permanent owners of what a community builds.
Seven Years of Change is temporary. The coordinating platform ends December 31, 2032. The local work, skills, relationships, businesses, assets, and governing capacity are meant to remain.

We Are Not Building Anything New
This is the part people miss, so hear it plainly: the pieces already exist, and they already work.
Communities already know how to grow and prepare food, repair homes, care for elders and children, move people, conserve water and energy, train workers, run businesses, manage money, and solve problems together.
7YOC does not ask a neighborhood to invent those abilities. It asks people to identify what already works, connect what is separated, fill what is missing, and build toward local ownership.
Proven models. Local foundations. Community ownership. That is the whole idea. It is not a dream. It is a build.

Who Is Sharing This With You
Geoff Barrett is serving as the founder and platform architect of Seven Years of Change during its building period.
The platform is being built toward women-led governance, neighborhood teams, community ownership, and a firm December 31, 2032 end to the temporary coordinating structure.
The personal history behind this work — including Youngstown, working families, race, service, teaching, and the question of who owns what people build — is part of the public record of 7YOC, but it is not the work communities are being asked to wait for.
